Sắn dây có thể chữa rắn căn hay không? Câu trả lời: có, tuy nhiên bạn cần phải bảo đảm phần sơ cứu khi bi cấp cứu một cách chuẩn xác, nhanh, có hiểu biết.

- Di chuyển nạn nhân xa ra khỏi tầm hoạt động của con rắn.
- Trấn an người bị rắn cắn, giữ tâm lý bình tĩnh, hạn chế cử động, bất động chi bị cắn bằng nẹp, để làm chậm sự lây lan của nọc độc.
- Tháo bỏ đồ trang sức và nới lỏng quần áo nhằm tránh gây chèn ép và làm sưng vết thương.
- Điều chỉnh tư thế cho vùng bị rắn cắn nằm thấp hơn tim, ngay cả trong lúc được vận chuyển đến bệnh viện (có thể cầm theo xác con rắn hay chụp lại hình ảnh rắn cắn, mô tả loại rắn cắn).
- Làm sạch vết thương bằng xà phòng và nước muối sinh lý.
- Dùng một miếng gạc khô và sạch để băng kín vùng bị cắn.
